Is upskilling one of your goals this year?

If you're interested in learning more about data analytics, data science, and digital security, the Department of Information and Communications Technology - Region 4B is offering free online courses this March.

The offered courses include Digital Awareness, where beginners can learn essential digital skills they can use at home, school, or work, such as internet searching, password creation, tech troubleshooting, data management, and online safety. You can sign up for it via this link.

To enhance your digital literacy, you can opt for Digital Safety and Security, where you learn practical skills to protect your devices and data, navigate online safely, recognize threats, and manage privacy, all through hands-on exercises and engaging lessons.

You can also complete all courses in the Digital Literacy Learning collection to take the OpenEDG Digital Literacy Certification.

There's also Digital Analytics, where learners would learn the core skills of a data analyst, including organizing and visualizing data in Excel, querying databases with SQL, and creating insights with Tableau, culminating in a portfolio project analyzing a popular movies dataset. You may enroll via this link.

You may also check out the Data Science Essentials with Python course, in which participants learn to clean, organize, visualize, and model data using Python, Pandas, and Matplotlib, applying these skills through hands-on projects to turn raw data into clear, engaging insights. Learn more about the course here.

The courses are free, open to all, and self-paced, which means you can take them at your convenience throughout March.
