FAIRFIELD — The Solano County Science and Engineering Fair is slated for March 12 at McCormack Hall on the county fairgrounds in Vallejo.

"Students from across Solano County design and complete their own investigations or innovations, then share their work through exhibits at the fair. The fair encourages curiosity, builds real-world problem-solving skills, and celebrates students’ creativity and hard work," organizers said.

This is the 13th annual fair hosted by the Solano County Office of Education. It is open to students in third through 12th grades.

The entry deadline for students is 3 p.m. Feb. 20, and the project submission deadline, 2 to 6 p.m., is March 9.

The fair will run from 4 to 5:45 p.m. March 12. The awards ceremony starts at 6. The Solano County Fairgrounds is located at 900 Fairgrounds Drive in Vallejo.
