Congratulations to Mary Ellen Stepowany for speaking up for senior citizens and people in wheelchairs or those using walkers in Fells Point (“Fells Point needs smoother crosswalks,” Aug. 6).
Years ago, my wife, who is since deceased, was in a wheelchair due to multiple sclerosis and pushing her on cobblestones was very difficult. If I wasn’t careful, she could easily fall out of the chair.
