Based on information from his job vacancies, the OpenAI robotics team will focus on developing multipurpose robotics and encouraging intelligence at the AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) level in a dynamic real-world environment.

OpenAI also plans to create new sensors and computing elements for its robotics, which will be supported by the company's internal AI model.

Working across a pile of models, we integrate up-to-date hardware and software to explore various robotic form factors, the company said.

As for the Robotic & Electric System Integration Engineer role, he will join the OpenAI robotics team and be responsible for designing and integrating robotics systems from scratch.

"This role is very important in realizing the robotics prototype and perfecting it to full-scale production," he said.

The latest report from The Information also states that OpenAI has been exploring the development of its own humanoid robot. Although OpenAI has not officially announced it yet, this recruitment could be an indication that the news is true.
