North East augmented reality go-karting experience expands due to growing demand

An augmented reality go-karting experience has unveiled three new imaginative race worlds.

BattleKart Gateshead, located at the Metro Riverside Park, opposite the Metrocentre, has revealed three new race worlds as it seems demand grow for experiences that bring people together.

The augmented reality go-karting experience fuses electric karting with projection-mapped gaming, transforming a traditional racetrack into a living video-game arena where players race through digital worlds, collect power-ups and compete in real time.

The venue now offers six different games, each with its own rules - from classic racing and colour battles to football and pool.

All these experiences are projected live onto the 2,000 m² track and each session promises to offer something new, keeping the experience fresh for returning visitors.
