Meta Quest: The 50 Best-Selling VR Games of All Time

A ranking from Meta reveals which VR titles have sold the most on Quest headsets — and the result is clear.
According to the overview, Beat Saber sits firmly at the top of Meta’s all-time best-selling VR content for Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest 2, and the now-discontinued original Quest. The data covers sales since the launch of the Quest platform, the company says.
Behind the rhythm smash are classics like Job Simulator at No. 2 and Blade & Sorcery: Nomad at No. 3, which has grown increasingly popular in recent years. Virtual Desktop is also among the platform’s biggest hits, landing at No. 5. The software streams your PC screen into VR and enables wireless streaming of PC content.
What stands out is that older titles dominate the list — and they tend to have one thing in common: simple, easy-to-grasp gameplay concepts. Beat Saber blends rhythm, music, and straightforward but fast arm movements, while Job Simulator lets you try out office work in a humorous simulation.

Superhot VR, meanwhile, uses a mechanic in which time only moves when you do — a concept that still works exceptionally well in a VR headset seven years after release. Smaller-scale productions also perform strongly. The Thrill of the Fight, a boxing simulation that will seriously make you sweat, lands at No. 7, placing 17 spots ahead of its own sequel.

Seemingly major names, including Meta’s elaborate and expansive first-party AAA productions Asgard’s Wrath 2, Batman: Arkham Shadow, and Marvel’s Deadpool VR, do not appear in the top 50 at all, even though Meta heavily promoted its games and, in some cases, bundled them with hardware. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR is also absent. Only Resident Evil 4 at No. 25, the Star Wars series Vader Immortal at Nos. 8, 14, and 16, and Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge at No. 37 make the top 50 as major licensed brands.

The ranking also offers clues about how most users actually use their VR headsets. Instead of single big-budget productions with lengthy playtimes, the winners are mostly compact titles that are easy to get into, can be played repeatedly in short sessions, or offer clear physical interactions. Big budgets alone are no guarantee of commercial success in VR — especially on this platform. Meta itself may have reached that conclusion earlier this year, as there will be no more VR blockbusters from its own studios going forward.
