Rohit Sharma decided to don the hat of being a mentor as he had a chat with the Indian U-19 team at the BCCI's Centre Of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru on Saturday, September 20. Rohit, who is getting ready for the ODI series against Australia in October, decided to take some time off from his training schedule and interact with the U-19 team, that had the likes of Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre in the group.

The Indian ODI skipper was part of a session that was aimed to provide the youngsters with an insight when it comes to the mindset and discipline that is needed to succeed at the highest level. Rohit shared lessons from his career, which gave the team a view into things beyond technical skills.

VVS Laxman, who serves as the head of the COE, took to X, to thank Rohit in a tweet. Laxman thanked the India ODI captain for inspiring the U-19 team and for reminding them that hard work is the thing that will take them ahead.
