Together, they will develop an XR headset, which may integrate LG’s smart TV ecosystem. This collaboration could potentially rival Apple’s offerings, including the Vision Pro.

LG Announces Strategic Partnership with Meta in Immersive Technologies

On February 28th, LG made a significant announcement about its new strategic collaboration with Meta, focusing on immersive technologies. This announcement was made during a meeting between Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s founder and CEO, and LG’s top executives, William Cho (CEO) and Park Hyoung-sei (President of the Home Entertainment subsidiary). The partnership will see the two companies “merge their strengths in products, content, services, and platforms,” according to their press release.
