A new firmware update has started rolling out to the Amazfit Bip 6. Version 3.8.0.1 lands with BioCharge readiness, Stryd support and better sleep tracking, all packed into a 13.67MB file.
This follows hot on the heels of a very similar update for the Active 2 yesterday. The core additions are nearly identical, making it clear that Zepp Health is now aligning feature updates across its latest generation of watches. The Bip 6 may sit at a different price point, but users are getting a nice little end-of-year gift here.
The headliner is BioCharge, which replaces the older Readiness score. It’s a broader take on daily recovery, factoring in heart rate variability, sleep, activity, and stress. The number appears alongside a set of insights in the Zepp Health app, highlighting trends and pinpointing what’s affecting your recovery.
BioCharge also unlocks readiness data during exercise, which means you can now get a real-time view of how your system is coping. It’s not just an overnight metric anymore.
This feature has already made its way to other watches in the Amazfit. It seems Zepp Health is gradually replacing the old Readiness score on its complete lineup. Which is good to see.
Also included in this release is support for syncing third-party structured workout plans. These come from Training Peaks and Intervals.icu, two of the most widely used platforms for custom endurance programming. Once linked, you’ll be able to send scheduled workouts directly to the Bip 6, and follow them from your wrist.
Beyond that the update brings indoor rock climbing as a new sport profile. And there’s the arrival of Stryd power meter compatibility. Stryd users can now pair their device directly to the Bip 6 for live power feedback and more accurate running dynamics.
Sleep Score has also been retuned. Zepp Health says the underlying algorithm has been optimised for better accuracy. While no specifics were given, updates like this often include backend tweaks that better detect light sleep transitions and wake periods.
Finally, users can now double-press the lower side button to launch a shortcut. Here’s the full change-log.

Bip 6 owners are getting a fairly comprehensive refresh with this release. While nothing here radically changes the device, BioCharge and training syncs are genuinely useful things. The support for third-party sensors like Stryd also nudges the watch a bit closer to premium territory.
The update is now available to install via the Zepp Health app. Look for version 3.8.0.1 under the system update section.
