Aldi has introduced a robotic pizza vending machine on a test basis at its store in North Sydney, Australia that serves freshly baked pizza in under two minutes, according to a Yahoo Lifestyle report.
Located near the Special Buys middle aisle, the machine, made by Placer Robotics, features a glass front that allows shoppers to see the pizza being cooked and packaged.
Users select a pizza using a touchscreen and pay with a debit card. The handmade, partially cooked pizzas run from $8.99.
The machine can cook 450 pizzas per day.
A TikTok video of the machine in action has garnered more than 35,900 views.
